Identity-as-a-Service Governance Platform is Honoured in Vancouver Event
TheAccessHub has been honoured with the Judges’ Choice Award at the 10th annual international Open Innovation Contest in Vancouver for its pioneering Identity-as-a-Service Governance platform, TheAccessHub. The Open Innovation Contest is hosted by NTT DATA, a leading IT services provider and global innovation partner. Each year, the company invites startup businesses around the globe to submit ideas for new technologies that can make the world a better place. TheAccessHub was one of 10 finalists invited to Vancouver for the live event.
TheAccessHub helps make the world a better place by enabling organizations to improve their security posture. As a disruptive technology, it provides a single-pane view into who has access to what across the enterprise. TheAccessHub streamlines identity governance and administration through its Identity Learning Fabric™ (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) and modern user interface.
TheAccessHub is a purpose-built autonomous identity governance SaaS platform that empowers organizations to efficiently view, review, request and fulfill user access permissions across applications and data sources. It provides a unified place to manage, control, and enforce identity governance policies, across the enterprise at a fine-grained level.
A new module of TheAccessHub unveiled at the event is Valid8, which leverages Microsoft FaceAPI for facial recognition. While there are many potential applications for Valid8, a current use case facilitates secure check-in and check-out at facilities including schools, hospitals, prisons and institutions. Valid8 allows these institutions to easily automate the client/student/patient check-in/out process with FaceAPI; facilitates communication between client/student/patient, staff, security, and law enforcement if escalation is required; and performs audited review of access, integrating with other established systems.
Jay O’Donnell, CEO and Founder of TheAccessHub, is excited about the award. “Recognition by a leading IT services company like NTT DATA really validates the disruptive work we’re doing,” he says. “Our team is so focused on innovating and making our vision of Autonomous Identity Governance a reality. Our Valid8 module is the next step in that vision, and we look forward to its formal launch in the coming weeks.”
“This contest is an important measure to realize the following three strategies for NTT DATA Group: the contest promotes innovation that helps tie back to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, expands global digital offerings for our company, helps unleash our employee’s potential that maximizes organizational strengths and, most importantly, delivers great value to our clients all over the world based on their regional needs,” said Yo Homma, CEO, NTT DATA.
Each year, startup companies are welcome to choose any location and submit a proposal for a collaborative business with NTT DATA group companies in the following fields: Healthcare and Life Sciences; Finance, Insurance & Payments; Automotive & Manufacturing as a Service; Telecom & IoT ; In-Store Front & Marketing Digitalization; Smart Automation; Data Distribution and Disruptive Social Innovation.
